This rare and uniquely configured 928 GT was first registered on 3rd November 1989. The GT was an evolution of the 928 Club Sport of which only 19 examples were produced. Built between 1989 and 1991, approximately 1600 GT’s were built in total. In 1989, only 150 units were produced and have a manual limited slip differential and lack of airbag specific only to this model year.
Otherwise the GT was a night weight variant, with approximately 200kg lighter weight than the standard 928, the car also had specific cam shafts installed on the 330 horsepower 5.0 Litre V8 which made the engine sportier than the later GTS variant. A shorter ration gearbox also included giving the car a vastly different feel to the standard 928.

This wonderful example was delivered to Francis Borelli in 1989 who was at the time president of the PSG football club and eventually AS Cannes. This first owner kept the car 10 year and covered approximately 85,000km. During his ownership, the car was recalled to have modifications made to the engine due to over consumption of oil in the GT model. The recall and modifications were done by Porsche, very few GT’s actually had the modification done. The current owner has covered more than 100,000km over the past 20 years. It now shows 190,000km and has been maintained extremely well.
This particular car is distinguishable by its larger GTS bodywork. This was done using original Porsche parts at great expense and with great care by a reputable body shop. Lower adjustable suspension and RH Cup 3 piece part magnesium wheels complete the look. The car has been de-catylised which is homoolgated and is estimated to add around 40 horsepower. The car also features optional electric sports seats and aftermarket steering wheel to improve the driving position.
Maintained continuously through its ownership, the last significant service was done 5,000 km ago. At this point, among other maintenance requirements, the brake system was overhauled including new discs, PAGID pads and aviation grade hoses. The distribution was also done as well as the water pump. Suspension was reviewed with new Bilstein adjustable dampers and H&R springs, bushes were also upgraded. A new Blaupunkt hi-fi system was installed with Bluetooth and DAB functionality.
The car is in exceptional condition and will be hard to come across a more desirable 928. It will be delivered with new tyres, a fresh service and distribution.
