Model History:

Launched in 2001, the Clio V6 Renault Sport is something of an anomaly. Designed by Renault, the phase 1 was developed and built by Tom Wilkingshaw Racing (TWR). The mid-engined, wide-body concept of the Clio V6 was very reminiscent of the 1980s Renault 5 Turbo. Road going models were low volume production making them very rare cars, only 1,555 were built in total. Alongside the road car, a circuit only version was produced, known as the Clio V6 Trophy.
In order to accommodate the radical change from front-engine, front-wheel drive hatchback to mid-engine, rear-wheel drive two-seater quasi-coupé, the car had to be extensively reworked structurally. The 3.0 60° V6 engine, was upgraded to around 230 PS and placed in the middle of the vehicle where standard Clios have rear seats. Lower, wider and with aggressive styling, the Clio V6 stands out among other hot hatches of the era.

This wonderful example was delivered to its first client in 2003 and registered to Monaco. Since then it has only had one other owner and has been driven sparingly having covered less than 40,000km. The car is standard with exception of the larger 18 inch diameter wheels from the Clio V6 phase 2 and all is in perfect condition.
Today this car feels very special. Something that perhaps should not have ever existed and seeing the trend of current products, something that would never be approved again by a corporate board. A sense of occasion everytime you get in, and yet somehow discreet enough to get around without attracting too much attention, yet will get approval from those who know.More accessible and useable than a 5 Turbo, the Clio V6 deserves a place in any collection and is likely to become very sought after due to its unique charm and madness.
The Garage du Panorama is proud to offer this lovely up coming youngtimer with only two recorded owners and showing less than 40,000km on the clock. For more information and detailed photographs, please do not hesitate to contact us. The car is available for viewing at our premises in the South of France.
